A Light at the End of the Tunnel
No 101 of 💯: For once, it isn’t an oncoming train
Sunlight poured through the curtains as the writer lay quietly bathed in the warm light. There was no need to rush this morning; the writing challenge was finally over. A few moments later, their eyes shot open.
Crap, they thought, I still have work to do and the challenge to complete for my other profile. On cue, the dogs jumped on the bed and started pawing at the covers.
The light was indeed an oncoming train, and it carried more work.
Such is the lot of the writer.
Yes, as you may have gathered, I finally finished the 100 Story Challenge. I completed it in 126 days after needing to take a mental health break part way through. I initially intended to write stories for Cathylouise and every day, but it soon became apparent that I couldn’t manage that with everything else that was, and still is, going on.
Now I’ve completed the challenge for this profile, I will be returning to Lorelei_Sands’ challenge and completing it there too.
